Serving Cantaloupe - A Creative Way

Asians like to serve fruits after dinner. Very often, cut fruits are served in a large platter. Boring? Yes? No?

Once in a while, I prefer to serve my fruits in individual portions. In this instance, I decided to disguise the flesh of my Cantaloupe as Cantonese Tangerines aka Kumquats.

The beautiful orange colour from the Cantaloupe is simply picture perfect with a few stalks of leaves. Rest assured that your diners will be pleasantly surprised.

Ingredients :
  • Cantaloupe
  • Mint Leaves or any Green Leaves made available to you

Method :

  1. Cut the Cantaloupe into half. Dig the Cantaloupe flesh out with a smaller size scoop disher.
  2. Place the round shape Cantaloupe flesh onto a bowl.
  3. Use a toothpick to poke a small hole on the surface of the round shape Cantaloupe flesh.
  4. Poke the stem of the Mint Leaf into the hole.
  5. Arrange and serve.

It doesn't just look good. It is also less messy to eat in smaller bites.

It is just so EASY!
